Community Gardeners’ Meeting

March 14, 2015 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

| Free

Ready to get your hands in the dirt?  The Schuylkill Center hosts one of Philadelphia’s largest community gardens, with almost 500 plots.  Find out more about renting a garden plot at the Schuylkill Center’s Community Gardens.  The Gardens serve as an excellent place to learn new green thumb techniques, enjoy the company of fellow gardeners, and spend some time in nature – without leaving the city!  Plots are approximately 16’ x 20’ in size and are $40 each.  Schuylkill Center membership required.

Call Denise Bratina for details at 215-482-7300, x 139 or email denise@schuylkillcenter.org.  Garden Plot registration opens Monday, March 16.

Want to learn more about soil and gardening?  Join us for Dirt & Dessert: Art & the Science of Soil  on Saturday, March 21, for wine, dessert, soil testing, and learning all about soil science and how it has inspired artist Jake Beckman.
