For Girl Scouts: Toad Walk/Volunteer Orientation

April 12, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

| $5

Event Navigation

Why did the toad cross the road? To get to the other pond! Spring is mating season for amphibians, and that means American toads are waking up from their winter naps to look for the perfect mate and the perfect pond to lay eggs in. Help shepherd hundreds of toads safely across Port Royal Avenue as they migrate to and from the reservoir during the breeding season. Volunteers are needed for evening shifts April 12th thru April 15 and then again May 15 – June 30. Volunteer orientation for scout groups will be on April 12. You must attend this orientation if you or your troop, wish to volunteer. If you volunteer for more than 3 nights, you will receive a special Schuylkill Center service badge.

Register online with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania.
