Girl Scout Toad Detour Volunteer Orientation
April 16, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
$8Why did the toad cross the road? To get to the other pond! Spring is mating season for amphibians, and that means American toads are waking up from their winter naps to look for the perfect mate and the perfect pond. Help shepherd hundreds of toads safely across Port Royal Avenue as they migrate to and from the reservoir during the breeding season. Volunteers are needed for evening shifts from April 17-30, and again from May 15-June 30. Volunteer orientation for Girl Scout groups will be on April 16—you must attend this orientation if you or your troop wish to volunteer.
*If you volunteer for three or more nights (including the training), you will receive a special Schuylkill Center Toad Detour patch.
Grades: K-12
$8/scout (no cost for chaperones)
