Hotter, Wetter, Weirder: Philadelphia and Climate Change

July 16, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

While everyone knows that climate change impacts polar bears and rain forests, what’s happening here in Philadelphia? What changes have we already seen– and what will our weather look like in 2050? What will happen to our rivers, our summers, our airport? You’ll be surprised by the data and trends. Mike Weilbacher, the Schuylkill Center’s director, has assembled this must-see illustrated talk on our coming weather, showing how it will be hotter, wetter, and weirder– while taking your questions. Mike’s been teaching about climate change for 30 years and weaves science with politics, pop culture, and even a pop quiz.
