Philadelphia School District Teacher Workshop

Birds, Worms, Ants and Arthropods! Come and discover strategies for using nearby nature, local resources and inexpensive materials to create a vibrant context for learning. Share methods for exposing students to living and non-living classification systems through a combination of open-ended exploration and hands on, student directed learning. This session is geared towards Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers. Join us for an exciting evening lead by the staff at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education by signing up on PD Planner.
Training will be held on Thursday November 19th from 4-6 p.m. at 440 N. Broad St. in room 1069 on the first floor.
The session is open to elementary teachers from the School District of Philadelphia. Registration is available through Schoolnet. Registration is limited to 30 participants.
