Schuylkill Saturday Special Edition: Wineberry Harvest

What has tiny red hairs, sharp spines, and tasty berries? The wineberry! These invasive plants are plentiful on our property, so come out and enjoy a sweet treat while helping us to clear them out of the forest. They are delicious when baked in pies or muffins or can be enjoyed right off the vine. Bring your own bag or pail, and we’ll tell you the best spots to collect. Long pants, work gloves, and good hiking shoes are recommended. No registration required.
