Yards DIY Workshop: Herringbone Earrings

It’s never too late to learn a new skill. The third Tuesday from December to February focuses on a different topic, including a take-home project and beer generously provided by Yards Brewery. Sign up for one program or all three. Registration required and will close one week prior to the start of each program. Cost varies by program.

Herringbone Earrings

$45 for those with tools (flush cutter, round nose, chain nose, optional flat nose pliers), $55 for those purchasing tools
Learn how to wrap semi-precious beads while learning the fundamentals of wire wrapped jewelry in this herringbone earring workshop with Elizabeth Karasek. Materials will be provided, with copper to start and sterling silver as requested. Round nose, chain nose, flush cutters, and optional flat nose pliers are required to complete this project. Pliers will be available for an additional fee. By the end of this workshop participants will take home their very own handcrafted pair of earrings.

Mosaic Making for Beginners

We’ll cover the basics of glass cutting and grouting. Each participant will make a 6×6″ trivet from pre-cut glass and take home detailed instructions and materials for grouting the piece. Please wear closed-toed shoes and bring protective eyewear.
