Plant Party (ages 4-9) Learn about the wondrous world of plants as we take a plant hike, learn about why these living things are so important on earth and finally, dissect a seed. Then we will decorate a pot and plant a seed inside.

Birds (ages 4-9): Learn about these fascinating creatures and how to identify a few of our resident species. Then you will have the opportunity to make a bird feeder. (For an additional $10 per child, you may build a bird house to take home)

Animal Story Time (ages 2-5): This fun party is geared towards a younger audience with a story, puppets a nature ramble and an easy craft.

Fairy Parties (ages 4-7): From pixie dust to fairy folklore, we’ll learn all about fairies as we explore the woods at The Schuylkill Center and build a fairy house.

Science Wizards (ages 6-10): Discover some of the secrets of science! We’ll make our own boomerangs, get spaghetti to dance, and end with a huge volcanic eruption.

Incredible Insects (ages 4-9): Have you ever wondered why bees buzz and crickets chirp? We’ll play games to find out what it’s like to be an insect and then take a closer look at our six-legged friends outside.

Wildlife Trackers (ages 4-10): Do you know where to find frogs, butterflies, and deer tracks? We’ll go on a scavenger hunt to look for living animals and their signs. We’ll also make a plaster caste of an animal track to take home.

Nature Crafts (ages 4-9): Create a work of art with materials from the forest. We’ll go on a hike to collect natural materials, and then make a craft for you and your friends to take home.

Herp Herp Hooray! (ages 4-9): Come see where frogs, turtles, and salamanders live! We’ll go on an adventure walk to sneak up on our slimy friends and then do a craft.
(This party theme only available May – September)

Fishing Fanatics (ages 6-10): Are you an awesome angler or would you like to be? Come party with us at the Schuylkill Center as we fish up some fun for your birthday. Learn about our local fish. Go fishing with us and create a fish print to take home with you. $225/10 people (This party theme only available May-September and is 3 hours long) (For an additional $6 per child, you may make fish print t-shirts to take home)

Raptor Party (ages 6-10): Come and experience a truly unique Birthday Party. You can be the first one of your friends to say that you had a live raptor at your party! Get a chance to party with one of our resident raptors and then dissect an owl pellet with your friends. $250/10 people

Wildlife Protectors (ages 6-10): Learn about your role in protecting local wildlife, from city squirrels to migrating birds. Students will learn about the work of The Schuylkill Center’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic, which treats injured animals from around the greater Philadelphia region. A non-releasable box turtle and a rabbit accompany this party.  $250/10 people

Live Animal Option: Where appropriate, live animal demonstrations can be added to your birthday party for an additional fee. Animals available include a box turtle, rabbit, red-tailed hawk and great horned owl. This will add an extra ½ hour to your party.

Specialty Parties for Teens

Low Ropes (ages 9-15): Get together with a group of your friends or to have a low ropes climbing party. $300/ 10 people

Sleep Over (ages 7-15):  A chance to experience the Schuylkill Center and its grounds during the cover of night. Sleep in the building or rent our tents and sleep on the grounds. Includes a pizza dinner, s’mores around the camp fire, a night hike and fun team games.  $400/10 people

Survivor Party (ages 9-15): This is a party for the adventurer in all of you. Build a shelter, learn to read a compass, complete an orienteering course and a scavenger hunt and play some cool survivor games with your friends. $300/ 10 people
