Adult/Corporate Groups
Improve inter-office communication and morale with team building exercises at The Schuylkill Center! Choose from the following available programs:
Low Ropes Course
The low ropes course is strategically located in the shaded forest of the Center. Ropes and tension wires are attached to trees and rise no higher than two feet above ground to present a range of simple and complex challenges, including exciting elements such as tension traverse, multi-vine, nitro swing and nuclear fence. Each element presents a different challenge to the group and requires communication and cooperation to complete the task successfully.
Team Building Initiatives
Team building initiatives are conducted outdoors in an open yet shaded area adjacent to the Center’s Low Ropes Course. Additionally, team building can be conducted as an outreach program at your location (indoors or outdoors depending on space and weather). Participants engage in a series of interactive games that enhance a variety of interpersonal skills, including problem-solving, leadership, cooperation and listening. The Center’s facilitators provide meaningful contexts and debrief continually so that the group may grasp the application of game strategies to their personal life at school or home.
Service Learning Component (optional)
Participants may opt to spend the afternoon working as a team to provide an “extreme habitat makeover” on the grounds of the Center. Using newly acquired skills to work effectively as a team, your group might spend the afternoon providing new habitat so that animals/plants at the Center might better find shelter, food, water and space on the grounds.
Program Options
A combination of the Low Ropes Course and Team Building provides an all-day Challenge Course experience (number of hours scheduled to suit your group.) Please bring a bag lunch to enjoy in the Center’s picnic area.
Team Building (without low ropes) is available as a half-day or full-day program, and may be combined with a guided hike on the Center’s trails, or can be combined with a service project.
Low Ropes Programs are typically offered as a full-day program, with the understanding that they are weather dependent and will need to be rescheduled if the forecast is for steady rain.
