Brownies

Brownie Try-It Programs are two hours in length and include at least four Try-It activities.  All programs include an outdoor portion on The Center’s hiking trails.

Brownie Programs

Animals - Learn about the animals living in Pennsylvania and in your neighborhood—and learn more about how you can protect them. 

Earth and Sky - Meet creatures in the soil and observe birds & butterflies in the air.

Eco-Explorer - See a variety of habitats and their residents up close along the trails.  Complete a scavenger hunt and puzzles as you hike. 

Water Everywhere - Explore our ponds and streams to meet frogs, tadpoles, insects and more! 

Plants - Take a hike to see the many kinds of plants living at The Schuylkill Center and plant your own seed to take home and watch grow!

Watching Wildlife - Visit the bird blind, sit in a wildlife blind, and observe the wildlife that call The Schuylkill Center home. 

Additional Programs

Enhance your Troops experience by adding one or more of the following programs to your schedule:

Night Hikes – The Schuylkill Center trails are more fun after dark!  Learn about The Center’s nocturnal residents and explore the habitats by flashlight or moonlight. 

Campfires – Sing songs or tell stories around a campfire in our rustic pavilion.  Roasting marshmallows and making s’mores is an added bonus!
