Before and After Care is available
Campers should bring their own lunch; snack is provided.
For overnight camping adventures, all meals, snacks, and tents are provided by the Center.
There will be no camp programs during the week of July 4th.

Wilderness Survival Skills
June 23-27
Members: $220/week; Non-members: $240/week
Monday-Wednesday, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm; Thursday 9:00 am - Friday 3:30 pm (Overnight)
Have you ever wanted to rough it on your own? This week learn to build a fire, read a compass, build a shelter, track animals and much more during this introduction to wildlife skills. An instructor from REI’s PEAK Program will be working with us to teach children the concept of leaving no trace when camping. Includes an overnight campout at the Schuylkill Center.

Adventure Camp: Young Spelunkers!
July 7-11
Members: $300 Non-members: $320
Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
This is an awesome adventure week for anyone who has ever wondered what type of wildlife exists in caves.  We will start the week learning about how caves and other geological formations occur.  Children will get to tour Penn’s Cave in Centre County PA and pan for gemstones.  They will also be able to explore a wild cave for an authentic spelunking experience.  All meals, snacks and tents provided for overnight camping


Water Watchers
July 14-18
Members: $245 Non-members: $265
This is a week devoted to water and the animals that make aquatic habitats their homes. Children will have the opportunity to do water testing at different sites. They will also learn the basics of angling through a program promoted and designed by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. We will take fishing trips to the Schuylkill River and the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge as well as the Baltimore Aquarium! This week includes swimming at Shelly Ridge Pool and will end with a day paddling and swimming at Lake Nockamixon.

 Adventure Camp: Climbing Higher Heights
July 21-25
Members: $300 Non-members: $320
Monday-Tuesday, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm; Wednesday 9:00 am - Friday 3:30 pm (Overnights)
This is a special week devoted to helping children to challenge themselves and build their self esteem in a natural setting. We will begin with trust and team building activities. Children will hone their skills on The Schuylkill Center’s low ropes course. We will have a guest tree tender speak to the children about trees and even give a guided tree climbing lesson! We will end the week with an organized rock climbing event at nearby Ralph Stover State Park.

Adventure Camp: Assateague
(Overnight Adventure)  
July 28-August 1
Members: $300  Non-members: $320
Monday-Tuesday, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm; Wednesday 9:00 am - Friday 3:30 pm (Overnights)
Join us as we embark on a 3-day, 2 night excursion to Assateague Island in Maryland. Learn about this unique ecosystem and it’s wildlife as we explore the land. Get a chance to see the legendary wild horses on the island. Activities include fishing, hiking, swimming, and of course sun bathing on the beach. All meals and snacks are provided Wednesday morning through Friday afternoon.

Adventure Camp: Promised Land
(Overnight Adventure)
August 4-8
Members: $300  Non-members: $320
Monday-Tuesday, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm; Wednesday 9:00 am - Friday 3:30 pm (Overnights)
Escape with us to the Poconos to explore beautiful Promised Land State Park Children will have the opportunity to do some orienteering, hiking and swimming. We will also visit Bushkill Falls, the Niagra Falls of PA. All meals and snacks are provided Wednesday through Friday afternoon. Tents are also provided.


New! Adventure Camp: Archery   (Overnight adventure)
August 11-15
Members: $300  Non-members: $320
Monday-Tuesday, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm; Wednesday 9:00 am - Friday 3:30 pm (Overnights)
This a special week devoted to patience ,aim, and accuracy. Youth participants will receive basic instruction in the sport of archery. We will go over safety and proper use of equipment. Then we are off to explore eastern Maryland and camp in historic Gunpowder Falls State Park. A day practicing our aim at Deer Creek Archery’s indoor 3-d range will definitely be fun! Fishing, kayaking and swimming are just a few of the activities that round out the week. All meals and snacks are provided Wednesday through Friday afternoon. Tents are also provided.


Adventure Camp: Cape Henlopen
August 18-22
Members: $300  Non-members: $320
Monday-Tuesday, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm; Wednesday 9:00 am - Friday 3:30 pm (Overnights)
It’s time to hit the beach! We will visit Cape Henlopen State Park in Delaware to learn about coastal habitats. Our adventure will take us seining on the beach, hiking the beach trails at night and exploring the ocean and bay for natural treasures! All meals and snacks are provided Wednesday through Friday afternoon. Tents are also provided.
