Restoration Volunteer Workday: Revitalizing Polliwog Pond

March 19, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Help us revitalize the area surrounding one of our most unique ecosystems, Polliwog pond. Polliwog is a seasonal pond where amphibians and dragonflies like to congregate. Birds nest in the trees surrounding the pond, and pollinators buzz down our trails in search of wildflowers. Learn about why this ecosystem is so special while helping us maintain the land surrounding it. This workday includes removing invasive plants to make way for diversity of native plants.

We recommend wearing long pants and sturdy boots and bringing a pair of gloves if you have them available. No experience necessary—we provide gloves (if needed), tools, and instruction. Please bring your own water bottle. Please note: our volunteer workday will be rescheduled in the event of severe weather. Registration is appreciated.
