POSTPONED – Scout Toad Detour Volunteer Orientation
April 14, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
$8Why did the toad cross the road? To get to the other pond! Spring is mating season for amphibians, and that means American toads are waking up from their winter naps to look for the perfect mate and the perfect pond to lay eggs in. Help shepherd hundreds of toads safely cross Port Royal Avenue as they migrate to and from the reservoir during the breeding season. Volunteers are needed for evening shifts from April 15-30 and again from May 15-June 30. Troops are able to attend volunteer shifts without attending orientation. However, only troops that attend BOTH orientation and two volunteer shifts will receive a special Schuylkill Center Toad Detour patch.
Grades K-12.
$8 per scout (no cost for chaperones)
