Our annual holiday favorite is back with spooktacular mystery-filled hikes, nature-inspired crafts and activities, and hayrides through our magical moonlit forest. Enjoy s’mores by the campfire, snacks from local food trucks, and a Halloween movie on the lawn (once the sun has set) as we celebrate the spirit of the season. Enjoy spicy and aromatic Jewish-Iraqi cuisine with chef Annabel Rabiyah of Awafi Kitchen (Boston), and discover the rich history of the Jewish Iraqi diaspora in the United States. Chef Annabel will demonstrate traditional recipes, and participants will taste a hearty Iraqi style beet stew (Kubba Schwandar) with optional meat dumplings, served with tea. Take a walk under the light of the moon as we listen for the nocturnal animals, gaze at the craters and seas of the moon through a telescope, and use specialized UV-flashlights to see the forest in a whole new way. Family Wreath-making
Ring in the holiday season by creating festive wreaths and garland out of natural materials. Give thanks for the season as we learn about the different vines that can be used for wreath bases and then add pops of color to our creations with fragrant fruits, spices, and leaves. Each family will work together to create one wreath and one garland to either keep or gift. Please dress for the weather. Registration is required.

Our Wildlife Clinic, the only one in Philadelphia, treats thousands of injured, sick, and injured animals annually. Show your support for their critical work at our third annual Winterfest for Wildlife festival.
