Day-off Camp: Fall Colors

November 6 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Let’s take to the trails and experience the beauty of the forest in autumn. We’ll collect materials from the field to create our own nature journals, using the beautiful fall colors for artistic inspiration.

Day-off Camp: Camouflage

November 12 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Learn how to blend into the landscape. We’ll sharpen our observational skills with awareness games in the field. Once our senses have adapted to our surroundings, we’ll use the nature around us to camouflage ourselves and become “unseen.”

Day-off Camp: Fun with Fire

November 21 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Together we’ll learn about fire safety, build our structure, ignite the fire, and enjoy its warmth while working on a project using fire as our tool. The day ends with one of our favorite bonfire sweet treats… banana boats!

Day-off Camp: Knights of Nature

November 23 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Become a protector of the forest, fully equipped with armor and sword. We’ll learn about medieval symbols thought to hold magical powers. Once we have selected our symbol, we’ll design and forge our own cardboard armor and swords. Then it’s off to battle.

Day-off Camp: Winter Break

December 26 - 28
Spend winter break in the outdoors, exploring our forest, climbing trees and rocks, tracking winter animals, making primitive shelters, even experimenting with snow and ice.

Day-off Camp: Nature Ninjas

January 18, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Travel silently and unseen through the forest while practicing spatial awareness and navigation skills. Solve nature puzzles and team challenges, go on a series of adventures, and figure out which other animals are active outdoors in the winter.

Day-off Camp: Master Trackers

January 21, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Examining tracks can give us lots of clues about the wildlife in our forest. Master the art of tracking as we search for tracks, identify tracks of different native animals, and learn how to interpret track patterns.
