Day-Off Camp: Fins and Feathers

From the birds in the sky to the fish in our ponds, there are so many amazing creatures that call our forest home. Today we will be acquainted with a few finned and feathered friends. Campers will learn the basics of birdwatching, including recognizing field marks, identifying common local birds, and birding by ear. We’ll also practice actions we can take to help conserve local bird populations. In the afternoon we will head down to Wind Dance pond and try our hand at fishing, while others drift along in our canoes.

Day-off camps are for children ages 5-12 years old. Extended day until 6:00 pm is available for an additional $20/day. Please bring a packed lunch, water bottle, and an extra set of clothes. Wear weather-appropriate clothing that can get dirty. Please note, day-off camps will be canceled ONE WEEK PRIOR if the minimum number of participants is not reached. Space is limited to 20 participants. Registration required.
