Halloween Hikes and Hayrides – Friday, October 27

Our annual holiday favorite is back with spooktacular mystery filled hikes and hayrides through our moonlit forest. Enjoy s’mores by the campfire, food trucks, an outdoor movie screening, games and activities and even an up close look at some native nocturnal animals to celebrate the spirit of the season.
Event Highlights:
Hayrides: We’ll be offering hayrides through our forest! Strap in and keep your wits about you, for the forest is alive with secrets waiting to be unveiled.
Campfire S’mores: Roast some marshmallows and make some s’mores with the family!
Outdoor Movie Screening: Snuggle up under the stars for an open-air movie screening! Bring a blanket and tune in to a spooky movie in our forest.
Crafts and Activities: Let the kids tune into their creative side and get their hands dirty with some of the crafts we have planned.
Animal Encounters: Briar Bush Nature Center will be visiting us and bringing along some of their spookiest residents! Get an up close look at some animals we don’t often see and learn about their fascinating antics.
Mystery Hike: There’s a fox in our forest who’s stolen all our Halloween Candy! He’s left some clues behind and we’d like you to help by hiking through our forest, and get our candy back. Bring a bag, if you manage to find the candy it’s only right if we give you some of it…
Forest Friends Hike: This hike will be available from 5 – 7PM. We’ll be having some costumed animals along the trail to greet and teach the kids all about themselves! This hike is best for kids ages 1 – 10 years old. This trail is accessible and stroller friendly.
Face painting: No costume? No problem! Get into the spirit of the season with getting some face painting done.
Spooky Storytime: There’s nothing like sharing scary stories. See if you can brave a spooky story time in our woods…This will be happening at 5:15PM and 7PM.
Food Trucks: Philly Tacos and Waffles Philly will be here!
🔦 Bring Your Own Flashlights: Since this enchanting event takes place at night, we highly encourage all attendees to bring their own flashlights to illuminate their journey through the forest.
