Restoration Volunteer Workday: Caring for a Late Succession Forest

July 16 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

See our woodland wildflowers and berries in full bloom as we spend the morning caring for habitats along our Wildflower Loop. Learn about what it means to be a ‘late succession’ forest and how to care for this vital ecosystem for long term sustainability.

This workday will include the moving of woody materials and the use of hand tools. We recommend wearing long pants and sturdy boots and bringing a pair of gloves if you have them available. No experience necessary—we provide gloves (if needed), tools, and instruction. Please bring your own water bottle. Please note: our volunteer workday will be rescheduled in the event of severe weather. Registration is appreciated.
