Stephen Goin and Ka-Msiyara Corbett Join Schuylkill Center Staff

PHILADELPHIA � The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education recently welcomed two new members to its senior staff, Stephen Goin and Ka-Msiyara Corbett. Both Steve and Ka-Msiyara bring great gifts to the Center, and come with over a decade of experience each.
Stephen Goin, the new Director of Land and Facilities, managed the Bala Cynwyd office of Bartlett Tree Experts for the last two years, where he serviced as many as 400 properties annually. He had been with Bartlett for 12 years, and has been to the Schuylkill Center many times as Bartlett�s representative at plant sale and Naturepalooza events. Steve has been involved in the care of many important area properties, including the Barnes Foundation�s Merion Station arboretum, Scott Arboretum, and the Rodin Museum. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Steve majored in wildlife biology and minored in forestry. He lives with his wife and daughter in Ardmore.
New Director of Development Ka-Msiyara Corbett brings a long and distinguished career in fundraising to the Schuylkill Center. The first Director of Development at the then-new National Constitution Center, Ka-Msiyara has also been a major gifts officer at Spelman College, Director of Development at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and Vice President for Development at both Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania and Junior Achievement of the Delaware Valley. A graduate of Vassar College with a Master�s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Ka-Msiyara lives in Glassboro with her husband and son.
As the Schuylkill Center launches both 50th anniversary celebrations and a host of building renovations, these two new staff members have hit the ground running. This week renovations began in earnest, with the east wing of the Center�s building closed off; in the spring, the Schuylkill Center will be unveiling refreshed preschool classrooms, auditorium, and other spaces.
